Planning Questions for Regional / Program Leadership Teams

Answer these questions as you plan with colleagues from your region/program.
If you are your program’s sole representative at this training,plan individually and discuss with attendees from programs that are near yours geographically or share similar characteristics.

  1. How will you get started with a PLC or PLCs in your region/program this year?
  2. Complete the PLC planning template, including the intended:
  3. number and focus of PLCs in your program/region,
  4. facilitator name(s) for each PLC,
  5. number of participants per PLC (including participant names if known),
  6. methods of recruiting and communicating with PLC participants, and
  7. schedule and location for each PLC.
  8. Has attending the SBI 2 training changed your region’s or program’s plans for next year? If so, who in your region needs to consider or consult on any planned changes? What is the timeframe for immediate next steps?
  9. Who will be submitting your region or program’s final PLC plans? Who will be completing PLC Updates after sessions? Who will coordinate recruiting teachers, setting the schedule of presenting teachers, making sure copies of student work are prepared for each meeting, etc.?
