Review of Round 2 CECI Grant Proposals

David St. John led discussion about who was writing Round 2 CECI Innovation Grant proposals and how the Region 8 Works Council will decide which ones to endorse.

1.  Sarah Cote summarized the proposal being developed by Ivy Tech – Bloomington to develop an advanced manufacturing pathway in partnership with Hoosier Hills Career Center and North Lawrence Career Center.

2.  Amy Starzynski outlined the application from Wisdom Tools to infuse STEM curriculum in some CTE pathways in the Lost River Career Coopertative and the Twin Rivers Career Cooperative.

3.  Dionne Cross Francis described a proposal from the Indiana University P-16 Center to develop an educational opportunity for high school seniors and recent graduates in which they develop essential workplace skills needed for successful employment.

David St. John asked that all grant applications be submitted prior to the next meeting of the Works Council. At that meeting, the proposals will be reviewed for possible Works Council endorsement.
