o RAC 2014 Summer meeting in Madison update, registration, etc.
- Registration started.
- They are asking for 5-10 icebreaker questions.
- Michael Bufalino will give a presentation on the upcoming RAC 2015 Meeting. Send a description of the facilities and photos to the organizers. Send information on the 2015 meeting to Skip so he can forward to others.
o RAC 2015 Summer meeting in Portland update
- Meeting will be July 25, 2015
- Have not yet sent info to the RAC leadership call – still need to do.
- Michael Bufalino will send an email to Skip to share the information to the other RAC Regions.
- Meeting will be at the Red Lion Hotel located in the northern edge of Portland.
o Leni -- Peer exchange quick update
WA just finished a Peer Exchange.
- Discussed PMBOK process to apply to managing research. Maybe develop workload standards for research.
- Requested notes from Leni
o RAC 4 Secretary volunteer
Ken Chambers volunteered to be the Secretary. He will start in July.
o RAC 4 PM&Q volunteer
Program Management and Quality - Need a volunteer from Region 4.
Administration and Education – need a second member from Region 4.

o Ice Breaker Questions for the Summer Meeting
Does anyone have research program management software (e.g., spreadsheet, database) they are using? (TPF on databases does exist: CA systems, Coco/Leni working on revamp of project).
How do you get your research program in front of your executive leadership?
Which of the competitive research funding programs are you supporting from your research program?
Do you have research project selection criteria, and if so what are they?
How are the research programs supporting performance management and asset management?
What key program elements are necessary for a successful implementation program?
What process do you have for fulfilling requests for quick turnaround research in your Department?
Post-earthquake bridge inspection methodologies development?
How do we maintain high standards so we receive quality published final reports?
