[1] This is a five-year fixed rate deposit which matured in November 2016 (interest rate = 4.6%).

[2] This includes a gift from the estate of Miss Mary East and a net donation from the Ranulf Higden Society.

[3] The cost of producing volume 149 was £8,701.00, reduced to £7,701.00 due to a Scouloudi award of £1,000 paid directly to Liverpool University Press.

[4] This comprises payments to the National Map Centre, The National Archives and the Royal Air Force Museum.

[5] This is accounted for partly by the cost (invoiced to purchasers) of posting orders of back stock.

[6] This includes £558.61 in payment of the cost of handling surplus back stock.

[7] £15,000 was invested in a One Year Business Savings Bond with Hampshire Trust Bank, 1.9% fixed rate. This matured in January 2017; the funds are currently in the Hampshire’s Easy Access Account, 0.75% interest.

[8] Please see the reports of Council, 2014 and 2015, ‘Financial Statement and Policy on Reserves’.

[9] This has been calculated by estimating the depreciating value of the remaining stock of volumes 142-152, i.e. volumes published and paid for during the last ten years, 2007-2016.

[10] The accounts for volume 153, published in November 2016, had not been settled by the end of the financial year.
