Real Estate Development Planner/Research Associate Sought
LDS Consulting Group, LLC, founded in 2000, is looking for a Real Estate Planner/Research Associate to start on or about June 1, 2016. We will be accepting applications until April 22, 2016. We seek an applicant who is highly motivated to work in the field of real estate planning and development in greater New England. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the housing and community development industry for a small but growing, entrepreneurial company based in suburban Boston. The firm works on all aspects of rental and home ownership housing development with a concentration in multi-family, senior and affordable housing. We provide feasibility studies and supply and demand analysis for many real estate products including: market rate, senior, affordable, mixed use and mixed income developments. Our studies can be site-specific or for an entire community. We also work on a variety of real estate development activities including permitting, financing and monitoring for single family home and multi-family housing development. In addition, we provide select brokerage services.
Job Description:
The person in this position will support all aspects of our business, including writing supply and demand studies for developers (for profit and not for profit), as well as municipalities, lenders and investors. The work on studies involves web-based demographic research of census and other data, contacting municipalities and properties, as well as site visits to locations in greater New England. The position will also involve assisting on permitting, development and brokerage matters. The majority of the work will take place between 9-5.
Qualifications:
· College degree is required, advanced degree preferred.
o A concentration in real estate finance, planning or urban development is preferred.
· Two years’ experience working in a professional environment and on point experience preferred.
· Strong written and verbal communicator in English.
· Must be deadline driven.
· Attention to detail and respect for confidentiality are a must.
· Possess a high degree of flexibility to handle changing priorities.
· A self-starter able to work independently and take initiative as a member of a team.
· Comfortable working in a small company environment.
· Access to a vehicular transportation on a regular basis is required.
· Proficient with email, internet, Microsoft office.
· Working knowledge of Massachusetts and New England States is preferred.

Compensation: Hourly pay commensurate with experience for the first three months and then salaried subject to a performance review.
