Reagan High School’s Extra Curricular Clubs
All students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities. It is a great outlet for stress, bumps up your sense of humor, decreases loneliness, builds confidence, and develops many useful skills. Plus, you’ll have fun.

Alumni Community
Stay connected with old friends in the RHS Community through this great network. Alumni can mentor current students, revisit favorite staff, and help keep our great school on track. Contact: Mr. Glaeser.
Archery Club
Safety is our first priority. Participation is in late winter/early spring and includes the NASP State Archery Tournament and the MPS Lifetime Fitness Day Archery Tournament. We practice during midblock and after school. This is a great way to meet other students while building positive self-esteem. All levels of instinctive target shooting are welcome. Art Club
Open to students who are serious about their artistic skills. Participants work on large-scale art projects throughout the school building, collaborate with local community artists and foundations, and can assist in the popular Snack Shack. Contact: Mr. Chad
Asian Club
Annyeo! Konichiwa! Are you interested in Asia? Want to try Asian foods and watch Asian films? We encourage all students to join in and explore the Asian culture. Contact: Ms. Moore.
Chess Club
We field a chess team each year to compete in the city league. No experience is required to play, so join us Tuesdays and Thursdays. Chess is a fun board game! The season concludes with an overnight trip to the State Chess Tournament. Contact: Mr. Wood
Chamber Choir
Our elite a cappella singing group composed of juniors/seniors through a rigorous audition process. Students perform throughout MPS and the Milwaukee community, participating in the district/state WSMA Sole/Ensemble festival. Contact: Ms. Breitbarth
Debate Team
Practices are held on Tuesdays and no experience is needed. Students compete with other schools on Saturdays throughout the fall semester for awards/trophies. This is a great way to meet other students while building persuasive speaking skills. Contact: Mr. Glaeser
DJ Club
Students develop broadcasting skills, mixing and scratching techniques, select music, develop interviews, perform at dances, and broadcast over Reagan Radio. Contact: Mr. Murphy
Dr. Who Club
Can you recognize a Tardis? (It looks like a British phone booth.) Do you know a Dalek when you see one? Join us as we view this cool Brit show and discuss favorite scenes/characters. Contact: Ms. Stone
Drum Line
Meetings are hosted twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4:00 p.m. Participants can perform at parades, pep-rallies, concerts and compete in the MPS Battle of the Drum Lines. Contact: Mr. Johnson
Film Appreciation Club
Film history and style is analyzed through readings and screening of select international films. Meetings are held on Thursdays. Membership is limited, so act quickly. Contact: Mr. Duellman
Forensics (Speech, Acting and Interpretation)
Develop oratory/drama skills, confidence and friendship. Diverse speaking material is used. No experience required. Compete with other schools on Saturdays from January-April. Contact: Ms. Baker
French Club
Meetings are held after school on Thursdays. Club activities vary but often include dining on French food, listening to Francophone music, watching French language films, and playing culturally diverse games. Members may hold office and participate in the annual Mardi gras school-wide celebration as well as the popular teacher frog-kissing fundraiser. Students who are active in French Club for 3 or more years qualify for the Reagan French Club Senior Scholarship and may be inducted into the French National Honor Society at the end of their sophomore year. French National Honor Society
Members of the FNHS are students in their 3rd through 8th semester learning French who have an “A” average in the class and who participate in a minimum of 10 hours of French Club-related activities. FNHS members will be honored at an induction ceremony in May and will be presented with an honor cord to wear at graduation. Contact: Madame Knight
Green Earth Club
Promote environmental awareness (like recycling, reusing, and reducing waste), park/neighborhood cleanups, and discuss current news topics/films. Students meet every other week on Wednesdays. Contact: Ms.McCanna
GSA Club(Gay/Straight Alliance)
Students willing to support diverse sexual orientations within Reagan, as well as learn to become leaders among their peers should join the Gay Straight Alliance. We represent GBLTQ youth within our school, as well as connect and activate our students in the greater Milwaukee community. Meet every other Wednesday, Room 202. Please know that there is no required sexual preference to join our group, but rather the preference to support all individuals, regardless of whom they love. Contact: Mr. Glaeser
Guitar Club
We help students develop their skills to become better players and to collaborate with other musicians. All students are welcome on Wednesdays after school. Contact: Mr. Johnson
Huskies On Track (H.O.T)
This is a fun student incentive program that recognizes/rewards academic efforts, good citizenship, great attendance, and student leadership. Numerous rewards/prizes are given in weekly raffles for qualifying students. Contact: Ms. Carpenter and Ms. McCanna
IB Mathematics Club
For upper-level IB math course students (Math Studies, Pre-Calculus or Calculus). Review skills, practice new content and prepare for the IB math exams. Any students taking IB math exams in May are strongly encouraged to attend. Meetings are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Contact: Mr. Peacock and Mr. Monfre
Japanese Club
We meet every Thursday so students can develop basic language skills and master some Anime/Manga drawing. Contact: Mr. Sonnentag
Jazz Ensemble
This exciting group rehearses during midblock or after school. We perform at school assemblies, activities and many concerts. Meetings will be announced during the first few weeks of school for those who may be interested in joining. Contact: Mr. Murphy
Marching Band
This is a large instrumental ensemble for students who can read music and are proficient on a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument. Perform at school concerts, travel for recruitment tours, and compete in festivals. Motivated students can also participate in the Bands of South Shore (B.O.S.S.) summer marching program. Music Dept. Student Leadership Team
A student group dedicated to music (grades 9-12). Members discuss/plan school-wide and departmental musical concerts and social events. This is where you can have a voice in the direction of our music program. Contact: Mr. Murphy/Ms. Breitbarth
National Honor Society
Membership in this organization is critical on college applications. All it takes is a 3.0 or higher GPA, volunteer service, and involvement in two extra-curricular groups. Members host volunteer events within the local community. Students who meet NHS criteria are inducted into the society at the end of their sophomore year. Contact: Ms. Lassila
PATH
Preparing, Advocating, Teaching, Helping (PATH) is a group dedicated to students who have IEPs/504 plans. Students mentor students, opening their arms and hearts to help each other navigate a successful path through classes, clubs and the teen years. Contact: Ms. Stein/Ms. Nolan
Physics Club
This club is dedicated to the concepts of theoretical physics, cosmology, particle physics and quantum theory. Discuss diverse topics and learn how to apply practical aspects of physics into your life. Contact: Mr. Zaniewski
Radio Reagan
Students develop broadcasting skills, mixing and scratching techniques, select music, and develop interviews to broadcast over Radio Reagan. Contact: Mr. Murphy
Reagan Theater
One Act Play (Fall Season) - Meets after school from 3:00-5:00. Members will stage 2-3 one-act plays written by IB Theater students. Auditions are held the second week of school. Look for posters! Performances are 2nd week in October. Contact: Ms. Baker
Musical (Winter Season) – Reagan High School produces uplifting musicals each spring. Open auditions will be held in early November with anticipated late January performances. Actors, singers, stage crew and orchestra pit members are needed for this theatrical production. Contact: Ms. Baker/Ms. Breitbarth
Recording Club
Student singers/songwriters/rappers/bands interested in making solo or group recordings for fun, demos or IB projects. Students who need help with songwriting or other music interests are encouraged to meet with us on Wednesdays. Contact: Mr. Peacock
Spirit Team
Open to energetic/outgoing students. Students practice weekly after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We need young men to build a great team. Sorry, no seniors in this squad. Contact: Ms. Leonard
Spoken Word Club
It’s the perfect place to write/recite poetry with an emphasis on creativity/rhythm and compete in a poetry slam league. Contact: Ms. Stone
Stage Crew
This group is an integral part of the Reagan Community. We set up and take down the music performances, build sets for plays and musicals, and use problem-solving skills to give Reagan productions a professional and seamless appearance. If you enjoy painting, power tools and like to wear black, join the Stage Crew! Contact: Mr. Onorato
Student Council
You can have a voice in the direction that our school takes by participating in this active student group. Members help plan and host school dances, prom, fundraisers, and assist at numerous school events. This is a great place to hone both team building and leadership skills. Contact: Mr. Monfre
Urban Promise
This mentoring program is designed for full IB diploma juniors and seniors. Community leaders join students for lunch once a month to share insights about college choices, scholarships, summer jobs, internships, and career choices. Contact: Mrs. Stein
Weight Lifting Club
Participation in this group is during the spring and includes a bench press competition for interested students. Trophies are offered in three weight divisions: lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight. Contact: Mr. Busch
Yearbook Club
Interested in photographing school-related events, keeping stats, creating a theme, and then designing/developing our annual book? Open to juniors/seniors. Contact: Mr. Chad
Yes Club
A youth-led, multicultural social justice group that works for student, immigrant and worker rights. Reagan is one of twelve high schools and three universities hosting a chapter. Our focus is on leadership development, civic awareness and community building. Contact: Ms. Clark.
