Red ribbon Week
Look for the Red Ribbon Week communication letter!
Monday – Find a red ribbod at school for a special prize and Sock It To Drugs!
Tuesday – Wear red – We will wear our Red Liberty University T-Shirts. Don’t worry! They have been washed and dried and are ready to wear
Wednesday –Favorite PJ’s to school.
Thursday – Dress like a friend!
Friday – We will wear our red shirts again and march with our bannar at 1:30 around the bus loop.
Homework
Homework packets will be sent home the beginning of the month and should be completed by the end. Your child is expected to read 10-15 min A night and be recorded on reading log. Sight words are also expected to be studied nightly. Sight words will be put in the back pocket of the daily folder. These need to be studied during the week and will be tested EVERY FRIDAY( if there is a parent signature)**. Please keep them in the back of folder.

Reminders:
¨Remember to sign the behavior calendar daily. This is our first form of communication.
¨ Make sure to label all money for its intended use and that your phone number is on your checks.
¨ Always wear tennis shoes for PE –Monday**
¨ Please review all work sent home with your child.
¨ Read a book nightly! This must be logged in reading log located in HW packet.
¨ Visit our class webpage! Go to school webpage, look for my name under teachers!
Here is what we are working on now 
Reading: Comparing fiction and nonfiction books; retelling stories; character & setting; favorite part; tracking words with our finger from left to right, parts of a book (front & back cover, spine, title page)
Phonics: Rhyming words (identifying and producing)
Math: We are working on recognizing & counting numerals 0-20 and working on subitizing. (Math Unit 1)
Writing: Writing a sentence with a capital at the beginning and punctuation at the end.
Science: Day and Night Social Studies: Citizenship
