REACH COMPLIANCE
REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), establishing a European Chemicals Agency, amending Directive 1999/45/EC and repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93 and Commission Regulation (EC) No 1488/94 as well as Council Directive 76/769/EEC and Commission Directives 91/155/EEC, 93/67/EEC, 93/105/EC and2000/21/EC.
DIRECTIVE 2006/121/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 amending Council Directive 67/548/EEC on the approximation of laws, regulations and administrative provisions relating to the classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances in order to adapt it to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) and establishing a European Chemicals Agency.
Further to REACH regulation setting up, chemical substances will have to be wholly identified for a better protection of human health and the environment. (depending on what is provided) Leathers, soles, footwear components, footwear goods and their packaging entering the EU market are concerned by the law.
Signatories commit themselves to accept and comply with all following points or requests:
1) You are fully aware of REACH regulation content and all consequences,
2) You have informed and you shall inform all your subcontractors and suppliers of all details of the REACH regulation,
3) You shall inform your “applicant company” contacts of the presence of any hazardous substances, SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) in “applicant company” leathers, soles, footwear components, shoes, their trims, their labelling and packaging, for the current production and for all future developments.
4) You fully warranty and shall hold harmless any “applicant company” entities, officers, directors, agents, licencees and subsidiaries that none of our leathers, soles, all footwear components, shoe, trimming and packaging contains any forbidden chemical and/or any non-registered chemical.

From now, you are supposed to systematically search, check and come back the recorded updated hazardous substances list and your commitment to cancel them from the production styles in progress and for the coming ones.
By signing this commitment, we declare and confirm that the above listed “applicant company” leathers, soles, footwear components, shoe, trimming and packaging styles are within the maximum limit allowed for Substances from Annex XIV List, Substances from annex XVII List and all Lists and limits due by REACH for footwear and related materials.
