Established in 1996, Asia’s first Ronald McDonald House located in To Shek Village Shatin has served for the past 17 years in supporting more than 1,200 families with seriously ill children. Both the children and their families have to face the trials and tribulations of battling illness. Ronald McDonald House not only provides temporary residential facilities but also a caring, loving and supportive “home-away-from-home”, where the residentscan find the strength to cope with the hardships in the road to recovery.Since funding is limited, Ronald McDonald House is highly in need of support from the society. Please kindly note that the Ronald McDonald House Charities is going to organize a Raffle Sale from June 28 to August 18 2012 in various McDonald’s restaurants, UA Cinemas and large-scale shopping mallsaround Hong Kong as to raise funds for the House. Whether teachers, students, working professionals or family volunteers, we sincerely invite your participation and generous support. As to express our heartfelt thanks, we will award a Letter of Participation and, for any volunteer selling two or more booklets, a Certificate of Appreciation upon the completion of service. Participants will also receive a specific McDonald’s meal sponsored by McDonald’s Restaurants (Hong Kong) Limited and UA Cinema Circuit Limited (for details please refer to Ronald McDonald House website:
In addition, we welcome you to sell raffles on your own. One booklet contains ten raffles, each worth HKD$10.

Ronald McDonald House Charity Raffle Ticket Sale 2013
Volunteer Recruitment
Requirements - Team Leader:
Aged 21 or above
Trustworthy, reliable, outgoing, mature, flexible and with the ability to motivate team members
Preferably with volunteer experience
*(Team leader will be chosen via Ronald McDonald House’s final selection)
Responsibilities - Team Leader:
A pair of team leaders to lead 4 to 8 volunteers at each venue.
Attend duty for 2 full days, approximately 6 hours per day
Attend a briefing session arrange by the House.
Oversee and manage the whole raffle sale process, coordinate with volunteers, monitor selling record, handling cash transaction/cash counting, work with venue/cinema/restaurant staff for hand over of materials and cash box.
Help awarding the Certificate of Appreciation to team members. Team Leaders would be awarded a Special Certificate to acknowledge their dedicated support to the Charity.
Requirements – Team Member:
Aged 14 or above (volunteer under the age of 14 would required to be accompanied by a parent)
Volunteers aged 14-18, need to sign the letter of consent (see attachment 1)
Trustworthy, confident, outgoing, stable, flexible and able to work closely with other teammates
Preferably with volunteer experience
Responsibilities – Team Member:
A pair of team leaders leading 4 to 8 volunteers at each venue, service duty for 3 to 6 hours.
Team Members will be awarded upon completion of service:
aLetter of Participation (given on the day by team leader or manager)
a Certificate of Appreciation (given on the day by team leader or manager)
a specific set of McDonald’s meal (a Hamburger or Sausage McMuffin + small French Fries + small drink) for those who attend at McDonald’s restaurant
a set of popcorn and soft drink for those who attend at UA cinemas
In case volunteers cannot attend the raffle ticket sale, please contract Ronald McDonald House at 2947 8778
Volunteers should bring their own water for drink
Program Period and Time
June 28 –August 18, 2013 (Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays)
From 12 noon ~ 6p.m.
School and Team Award
To encourage school and team participation, there will be a special award given to the school/team that raises the most donation
Winner, first runner-up and second runner-up will be awarded (each school/ team will be awarded one trophy)
Upon completion of the activity (not limited to the number of days), the school/team raising the most donation will be awarded winner
