Re:CYCLING – MOUNTAIN BIKING ENTRY INFORMATION 2010

The MTB event for 2010 will once again be organised by Extreme-knowhow.co.uk, in conjunction with BUCS.

Date:19 - 21 March 2010

Venue:Ae Forest, Nr Dumfries, Scotland.

Entries:All competitors must complete a rider entry form and each captain must complete a team form.

Closing Date:13 March 2010– NOW AMENDED TO 10 March 2010

Entry Fee:Championship Downhill (DH) = £35.00

Championship Cross Country (XC) = £25.00

XC Sport = £25.00 (Does not carry BUCS points)

All Cheques made payable to BUCS.

Camping/Available from Thursday evening 18th March strictly from 17.00pm onwards

Facility UseUpto 1 Night/Day = £5 (Includes those not camping to pay for facilities’ use)

2-3 Nights = £10 per person (MUST be paid in CASH at registration)

Please note there will be NO CASH MACHINES at the site, so you need to bring enough cash with you for the camping/uplift fees.

XC Championship Race: A maximum of four riders from each University are allowed entry.

DH Championship Race: Each University is guaranteed four entries. Further entries will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. There will be a maximum field of 300 riders. Downhill Uplift will be at a cost of £10 per person payable at registration.(Cash only)

XC Sport Race:Any number of riders may enter the Sport Race

Marshals:Each University will have to provide a minimum of two marshals for the event if they enter 6 or more riders – this is a condition of entry to the Championships.

Marshal requirements will be sent to the Team Captain prior to the event.

Rules

The event is held under the rules of British Cycling and BUCS.

Course riding is not permitted at any other time apart from official published practice sessions. Failure to comply will result in disciplinary action (fine and/or disqualification).

Riders must sign on prior to riding the course and display number boards.

No rider substitution is allowed unless via the official route and undertaken by the Team Captain.

Please respect the landowners and local and event property – vandalism and theft (including ‘trophying’) will be dealt with severely. The building of jumps in the grounds is not permitted and damage will result in prosecution.
