COMMUNITY HUB MANAGER

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To manage and deliver strategic objectives of the Community Hub Project under the direction of the Operations Director. The Hub Manager will oversee the Raploch Community Partnership’s Hub Project, developing the membership, coordinating resources in addition to delivering some training and advice.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Community Hub Manager is responsible to the Community Hub Director.

MAIN DUTIES

  • The setting up, maintenance and delivery of the Hub and its services;
  • Providing day-to-day management support to Hub Director to enable him/her to fulfil project duties and responsibilities;
  • Collecting and reporting information relevant to project performance that may also be used for wider dissemination – i.e. funders, partners and the academy;
  • Administering and promoting the membership system;
  • Coordinating the input of external organisations for the delivery of Hub services;
  • Delivering certain aspects of the training, advice and administration;
  • Bring generations and the community together through the opportunities and services provided at the Hub.
  • Contributing to the sustainability of the project by working with the Community Hub Director to develop social enterprise and funding.

STRATEGIC PLANNING, OPERATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PARTNER-SHIP WORKING

  • Identifying opportunities for developing of new services, contract opportunities and partnership proposals.
  • Managing operations in line with contract terms and conditions ensuring the delivery and reporting of key performance outcomes;
  • Assisting with the development of services, reviewing and developing contracts and Service Level Agreements;
  • Developing new business opportunities in line with the strategic direction of the organisation;
  • Developing relationships with key strategic partners to maximise the organisation’s contribution to national and local strategic objectives;
  • Developing and encourage partnership working arrangements.

LEADING AND MANAGING THE ORGANISATION

  • Providing leadership and direction to service users, community workers and volunteers;
  • Observing compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements in relation to the Company and Charity;
  • Following the organisation’s policies, systems and structure to carry out work effectively, accountably and safely;
  • Ensuring good stakeholder relationships, in particular the handling of those members with entrenched social and/ or emotional needs;
  • Keeping abreast of developments in the regeneration and voluntary sector.

PROMOTION AND COMMUNICATION

  • Seeking opportunities to expand and promote the organisation’s work;
  • Protecting and enhancing the reputation of the organisation;
  • Contributing to the production of the annual report and other marketing and publicity materials;
  • Being a spokesperson for the organisation, especially in relation to the partners and local groups;
  • Formulating marketing strategies and campaigns;
  • Developing use of social media.

SUPPORT AND SUPERVISION

The Community Hub Manager will report and liaise with the Community Hub Director to ensure the effective conduct of the business of the organisation.

Supervision of the Community Manager will be undertaken by the Community Hub Director or, in their absence, the Chairperson of the Board or other delegated member of the Board of Management.
