Lee Strubleis President of WSM Trainers and Consultants (est. 1996). He recently retired after a 30-year career in higher education public safety (Nazareth College, Monroe Community College, Rochester Institute of Technology and St. John Fisher College). He is a senior trainer for the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) and provides security assessment and consulting services to colleges and universities throughout the United States. Lee resides in Rochester, New York.
Steve Grantis President of LAMAD, Inc. and retired from the Rochester Police Department where he served several years as a hostage negotiator and defensive tactics instructor for the 700+ member department. He is a frequent national and international trainer on the topics of officer safety, self-defense and verbal judo. His clients include law enforcement, hospitals, K-12 and higher education. Steve resides in South Carolina.
Program Overview:Course workbooks, reference materials and course completion certificates will be provided to all attendees. The 3-day curriculum will include case studies, role plays, small group work and a short presentation on the final day of class. Certification will be valid for 3-years and can be renewed with completion of a 1-day re-certification course.All attendees will be required to sign a waiver that will limit their training to their respective university or department at the time of initial certification.
Participant Requirements:The curriculum is designed for two instructors. It is recommended that a minimum of two instructors participate from each university, with a minimum of half of them being from minority populations. It is also recommended, but not required, that participants have a background in teaching or instructing (i.e. Instructional Development Course, past experience, PowerPoint use, etc.).

Cost:$400 per attendee; $350 per attendee if registering 5 or more from the same agency
