Weekly Grammar Updates-3.

A verb is the main part of a sentence in predicate and it tells about the doing or happening of an action. A verb serves many purposes. It explains the mode, period and time of an action. Thus verb is the basic part of speech in the construction of a sentence along with subject to be in agreement with it. In all most all the cases the verb seeks guidance from subject except from the sentences starting with “there”, in this case the complement/object guides the verb to take form e.g. There is one boy or there are four boys.

Today we shall discuss all the uses of the verb. (Note. A sentence has two major portions. The Subject and the Predicate) e.g. The boys are playing cricket in the main ground.
