RFP 15-16 Switches
The following access request is submitted by USD 507 Satanta. The request is for creating MDFs, with all the Category 5e or Category 6 wiring, wiring racks necessary to complete this task. This posting does not preclude the constituent’s rights or responsibilities to pursue alternate avenues of procurement.
This RFP posting on the USD 507 website (http://www.usd507.org) acts as notice to all providers, known or unknown to USD 507, of USD 507’s need for Network Switching Infrastructure.
All service and/or equipment contracts resulting from proposal responses, are strictly between USD 507 and the chosen local provider. Final choice of providers is the responsibility of the USD 507.

Questions must be received by 12/15/2015. Vendors wishing to receive a copy of questions and answers must request so by email by the above date. Answers will be sent via email on or before 1/15/2016.

Statement of Work: The winning proposal will provide Satanta USD 507 with Category 5e or Category 6 cabling, network hardware racks, patch panels and any other accessories needed to create a wiring closet.
The winning proposal’s company will have a presence in the State of Kansas, and be capable, qualified and experienced in all phases of the installation of structured
Purpose – Obtain cabling, wiring racks to centralize switching for troubleshooting and expansion needs. A physical walk-through and mapping of all attendance centers is required by a technician for any vendor submitting a proposal.
Equipment/Service–Category 5e or Category 6 plenum-rated cabling, all necessary cables and parts for complete connection and installation with testing and confirmation of network connectivity, load capability/adjustment and stability upon completion of installation. Consider this a turnkey installation that installs on the existing network.

Prospective providers desiring consideration under this RFP shall schedule and complete the walk through and submit written proposal as PDF attachments to . All proposals must be received by the above named contact by 5:00 PM on the closing date of this RFP. Final selection of the service provider is the responsibility of Satanta USD 507. Once a selection has been made, USD 507 shall notify the provider in order to begin service implementation procedures.
