Questionnaire: MyRIT Portal

We are members of the team Even Steven and we are working on our Senior Project for the Software Engineering Department. Our senior project is to design a departmental news feed to be integrated into the MyRIT Web Portal. We would appreciate it if you could fill out this questionnaire to help us refine our requirements for this project. As this tool is to be used by ITS to allow the departments to communicate information to their students, it would benefit you as departments to give us as much feedback as possible to make the end product useful for you. We would appreciate it if you could return this to one of us or to the mail folder of Carol Coon in the Software Engineering department before break or as soon as possible thereafter. Project Description: RSS Feed Generator

The purpose of this project is to create a tool that will generate RSS news feeds. RSS new feeds will contain links to information from various departments and these feeds will be picked up by Prometheus in regular intervals to be displayed in the MyRIT portal. This will allow departments on campus to send out information to their students. The information will be owned and managed by the departments and every time the information is updated it will be automatically reflected in the MyRIT portal.
