Hi Steve,
I ran the evaluation numbers and it appears that there are two latent constructs (two Eigen-values above a value of one). The first is a combination of teacher effectiveness and overall course evaluations (Q1, Q3, Q5, Q6, Q9, Q11, and Q12) and the second is an interpersonal relationships construct (Q10, Q16, and Q18). All standardized loadings are greater than .74, The two constructs correlate at r = .72, and the goodness of fit indices are appropriate, particularly for what we are doing (CFI = .95, RMSEA = .1, SRMR = .05). I also tried separating a teacher effectiveness (Q1, Q5 and Q9) construct from a course evaluation construct (Q3, Q6, Q11 and Q12), but they correlated too highly to justify considering them separate constructs (r = .96). Not surprisingly, Q13 and Q14 did not play a role in the factor analyzes, nor were there any substantial differences between the main, online and west-side campus results.
If you want to send over the Gallup, architecture and public administration data, I’m happy to look those over as well.
Best,Brian
