Querencia at barton creek welcomes Guests to the “querencia tour of homes”

AUSTIN, texas, September05, 2008: Live music by pianist David Greenfield Bowie was heard throughout Querencia at Barton Creek retirement resort as more than 150 residents and guests filled the halls of the community for the “Querencia Tour of Homes.” Querencia residents opened their homes on a recent Saturday afternoon to showcase the 19 unique floor plans offered at the community and give others a glimpse oflife at Querencia. Guests toured one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes such as The Ballard and The Capote, as well as the villa homes such as The Kingston. Querencia resident ambassadors were on hand at the event to answer questions and show interested guests around the resort.

In addition to filling the halls, residents and guests filled two donation trucks ofThe Settlement Home for Children with gently-used items for their annual charity garage sale.

“We are so grateful to our residents who opened their beautiful homes for guests to tour, to our resident ambassadors who helped make the afternoon such a success and to everybody who brought donations for The Settlement Home for Children,” said Leslie Dominguez, director of marketing for Querencia. “It is an honor to belong to a community with so many interesting and generous people.”

“The Settlement Home for Children is a wonderful organization that contributes significantly to the Austin community,” said Martha Wallace, resident of Querencia and associate life member of The Settlement Home for Children. “I am very appreciative to Querencia for supporting such a worthy cause and to all of the residents and guests at the event that donated items and contributed to the success of The Settlement Home annual charity garage sale.”
