- Requirement Description
Describe the requirement (gap). Include a description of the delivered PeopleSoft functionality.
The State of Connecticut currently reports certain data points to its employees on their check stub (PAY003) or direct deposit advice (DDP003). The State requires certain data to be removed from or added to the delivered report program.
- Business Need
Provide a justification for the requirement. Include information about frequency, volume, number of users impacted, etc.
There are several data points currently identified that either need to be added to the check and advice or removed. 1) The State of Connecticut does not print the social security number of the employee on the check for reason of personal security of that information. 2) The State does not print the bank name, account number, or address on the check. 3) Leave Accrual information needs to be printed on the check and advice stubs.
The priority of this requirement has been classified as High because it impacts all employees.

The State of Connecticut potentially pays over 70,000 employees every check date. It is logistically impossible to execute the proposed process solution due to the manual effort required for check data suppression and the volume of inquiries each agency would receive each pay period for additional information. There will be other changes to the check stub and direct deposit advices which will be included in this requirement.
