Board 161 Fine Structure and Policies

2016 / 2017

·  For any excused absence, a member must contact the Recording Secretary prior to the scheduled meeting. The Executive Board shall determine if the excuse is valid. Be aware that any officiating of youth or any types recreational games other than Section 1 games are not a valid excuse to miss a meeting.

UNEXCUSED MISSED MEETINGS:

·  Interpretation Meeting – The interpretation meeting is MANDATORY. If you miss our interpreatation meeting you must make an Interpretation Meeting somewhere in NY as per IAABO and Bd 161 mandates. The Secretary will make every attempt to advise a member of other meetings. Missing an Interpretation meeting can result in a fine by the Executive Board as well as Inability to officiate. The fine is $150.00.

·  Business Meeting – The business meeting is MANDATORY for active and inactive officials. Failure to attend the annual business meeting will result in a fine of $150.00.

·  Meetings – Failure to satisfy the 5 meeting requirement will result in a $40.00 per missed meeting, plus the loss of any remaining games as well as post season assignments and can result in decertification.

·  Failure to satisfy the 5 meeting requirement for a second time in a span of 3 years will result in a fine of $60.00 per missed meeting and a loss of any remaining games, post season assignments(decertication). If said member decides to return will return at a lower classification. IE-1A-1, 1-2A et c. Any request will be reviewed by the Executive Board.

·  ANYONE WHO LEAVES A MEETING EARLY PRIOR TO THE END OF THE MEETING WILL RECEIVE NO CREDIT FOR THE MEETING.

ANNUAL DUES

Annual dues are payable no later than the day of the Business Meeting. If they are mailed in they are to be mailed to Joe Padovano 39 Ames Road Brewster, NY 10509 with a postmark no later than the date of the BUSINESS MEETING. Late Fees will be accepted until April 1. After April 1, member will be dropped. If member decides to come back he will have to pay a $75.00 fine.

APPEALS

A member may appeal any fine to the Executive Board in writing (email or letter) within 7 days of notification of such fine. The Executive Board will inform the member of their decision in writing (email or letter).

ALL FINES ARE DUE WITHIN ONE WEEK OF BEING NOTIFIED, UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THIS DOCUMENT, AND PAYABLE TO THE TREASURER. FAILURE TO PAY FINE WILL RESULT IN NO SCHEDULE FOR THE FOLLOWING SEASON.
