  • The children who received Early Literacy support made accelerated progress in reading by over half a term.
  • All children on a speech and language programme made progress towards their targets.
  • Children who were targeted for additional reading made expected progress with writing and accelerated progress in reading (+1/2 term) and maths (+ 2 terms)
  • Children who received SEAL intervention made expected progress across the core areas ensuring their learning did not get stuck.
  • Our SEN TAs ensured that the children with additional needs made expected progress overall and closed the gap by a term in reading.

Overall Impact:
  • Children identified as Pupil Premium made comparable progress to all children in the school which was good in writing and accelerated in Reading and Maths by up to half a term.
  • Children on Free School Meals made nearly a terms accelerated progress in maths.
  • Attainment of the Pupil Premium children, without additional needs, is the same as all children. This is below age expectations against the new standards in the National Curriculum. Against the new standards the children, on average, are around a term and a half behind age expectations.
  • The value added for disadvantaged children is good with an overall score of 101.6.
