Timetables have been issued to all pupils and these should be looked after and taken to school each day. Alternatively, the timetable may be photographed and held on phones. We have a problem with pupils reporting to the office asking for a new timetable. Please refrain from doing so.

ANY YEARS/PUPILS OR STAFF: Love singing? Fancy an extra challenge? How about singing in a language other than English? S1 Students Students should not be throwing bottles of water/juice wither within or out with the schoolgrounds. Anyone caught doing so will be severely dealt with. (KG)

For S1 : Library Assistant Application Forms Thank you for the interest in joining the team of lunchtime assistants. Application forms can now be collected from the library desk.

S1 – S2 Rugby: - The new S1/S2 rugby team will start training this Wednesday after school, from 3.30 to 4.45. Change in the PE Department. ALL new and existing players are very welcome. If you have any questions, please see Mr Mair in Maths (G35) or Mr Kelly in Physics (G13)

English Textbooks.Any pupil who still has English textbooks from last year (Macbeth, Ann Donovan stories, The Cone-Gatherers, Othello) should return them to their teacher immediately. Deposits for Higher textbooks must be reclaimed from Mr Valentine in G05 by Friday 25 August.

S6 Advanced Higher pupils - Dissertation research opportunity – Aberdeen University Library

An exciting opportunity to visit the University of Aberdeen Library is planned, to look for and borrow resources for your dissertation research.

This trip will be a valuable learning experience on its own and if you are planning a Higher Education course, then make the most of this opportunity to experience a university library.

There are excellent resources to support Advanced Higher studies and you can use the ‘walk in service’, which provides access to a set of databases and full text journal articles.

We will be travelling to Aberdeen by bus, on Thursday 5 October and if you are interested in signing up for this, please see Mrs Toonen this week.

S4-6 TRIP TO FRANCE 2018/commemorating the centenary of the end of the first world war: the history and modern languages depts are organising a trip to the WW1 battlefields and to Paris in March 2018: history, culture, fun, good food. Priority will be given to those who are currently studying a foreign language or history or did so in S4 last year. However, should there be spaces left others will be welcomed. Please see Mr Lestienne in B12 for a form and for questions.

Moray College- The College Day starts on Wednesday 23rd August from 9:30 to 2:30. Pupils may go home at 2:30 or return to school to study. Please ensure you arrive at college promptly. For those going to Linkwood to do engineering, joinery or brickwork, a bus will leave the school at 9:15 and return at 2:30 from the college. It is essential that you let Mr Webster know before Wednesday which of you wish to use the bus as some may live nearby the facility and wish to make their own way there..
