Publisher Brochure Requirements
Congratulations!
You have just been chosen to prepare a Publisher brochure for BCMS Principal, Ms. Downs. You are to create an Individual Learning Plan (ILP)brochure that provides information about three careers and one college that you are interested in and researched on Career Cruising. Log on to to get your career and college facts for your brochure. Follow these guidelines:
1. Double click on Publisher shortcut. Click File, New, Brochures, and chose your favorite style.
2.After choosing a brochure design double click it. Save it as “Career Brochure” on your H Drive.
3. In the LEFT window you will see two pages of the brochure. Each page has three panels. Page 1, right panel is the front of the brochure, center panel is the back and the left panel is the inside flap. Page 2 is the inside of the brochure. You must inform Ms. Downs of your college and career choices by clicking on each page and completing the following, as a minimum:
Page 1, Right Panel: Title – Must include the titleof your brochure, your first & last name, and two different colored shapes
Page 2, Inside Panels: Name your first 3 career choices, five facts from your ILP about each of the 3 careers and a picture depicting each career
Page 1, Left Panel: List three reasons why you chose your top career
Page 1, Left Panel: Name where you plan to go to college, why, three interesting facts about that school, and a picture of that school
Page 1, Center Panel: References – list your references including internet addresses of where you found your information and pictures
Requirements for your brochure:
1. There must a background color on each page.
2. Pictures must be on your brochure to depict your 3 career choices AND your college.Type all information in your brochure first BEFORE you add pictures!!
3. Word Art must be used at least twice.
4. You must research and use pictures related to your careers from the internet, referencing them on the back of your brochure.
5. You must use titles for your careers and bullets for your five facts with different size font than your title.
