August 14, 2014 Meeting Minutes: Motion was made by Brent Helm, seconded by Tammy Layman to wait until the October meeting to approve the minutes. Motion passed

Treasurer’s Report: Motion by Brent Helm, seconded by Tammy Layman to defer the treasurer’s report until next month. Motion passed

Malph Report - Meghan Swain

  • Update provided on the strategic plan. Strategies to focus on the five core strategies completed in part one. Part two are action steps for the priority areas.
  • Restoration of 1.5M ELPHS. Next year message is to seek additional funding
  • BC/BS Health Endowment Fund – agree to invest money into public health initiatives. Board of Directors has been selected. Malph has submitted a grant. Approximately six grants will be chosen. Focus on obesity, oral health, immunizations
  • Premier Conference is October 21 – 23 – Bellaire, MI – Shanty Creek
