Parent and community involvement is an essential component to a successful education for our children. Volunteering helps our school and teachers, but also shows our children that we are partners in their education. Many parents want to be active in their children’s school but are unsure how to get involved beyond working in their child’s homeroom class. We have many opportunities for involvement listed below. We encourage you to become part of our volunteering team. West Elementary’s PTO is free, and we encourage you to participate!

______Trimming and counting box top labels (ongoing throughout the year)

On Call Volunteer
If you would like to help, but not sure how or when you will be available your name can go on our “On Call” Volunteer list. When we need help with an activity we will reach out to our “On Call” Volunteers. Please if you are available to volunteer for specific activities and be “On Call” check both areas.

La participación de padres y la comunidad es un componente esencial hacia una educación exitosa para nuestros niños. Voluntariado ayuda a nuestra escuela y maestros, pero también muestra a nuestros niños que somos socios en su educación. Muchos padres quieren estar activos en la escuela de nuestros niños pero no están seguros como envolverse más allá de trabajar en el salón de su hijo. Tenemos muchas oportunidades para participación alistada abajo. Le animamos a ser parte de nuestro equipo de voluntarios. ¡El PTO de West Elementary es gratuito, y le animamos a participar!

Si le gustaría ayudar, pero no está seguro como o cuando estará disponible su nombre puede ponerse el la lista de Voluntarios “De Espera”. Cuando necesitemos ayuda con alguna actividad acudiremos a nuestra lista de Voluntarios “De Espera”. Por favor marque ambas areas si está disponible para ayudar con actividades especificas o “De Espera”.
