PROVISIONS OF INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION

TO THE CENTENERY OF SARATOV STATE SOBINOV CONSERVATORY

Aims and purposes of the Competition

-development of international creative links;

-giving the world support to professional and artistic development of creative youth;

-development of musical and pedagogical traditions of native and foreign piano schools;

-development of teachers pedagogical mastery;

-drawing public attention to artistic potential of Russia.

Procedures of the Competition

-The competition is open to pianists of 16 to 32 years old.

-The participants who have passed the preliminary round and have good results in auditionare admitted to the competition. The video-recording with the repertoire for the 1st round should be presented on DVD without arrangement and editing. The face and hands of the participant must be in focus.

-Competition has 3 rounds and will be held in the Big Concert Hall of Saratov State Conservatory. The final round (3d) is held with The Academic Schnittke Symphony orchestra of Saratov Regional Philharmony.

-The order of performing of the applicants is determined by drawing lots kept till the end of the competition.

Not more than 50% of participants of the 1st round are admitted to the 2nd round and only 6 participants will take part in the 3d round.

The laureates of the competition will perform in the Closing Concert in the Big Concert Hall of Saratov State Sobinov Conservatory.

Jury of the Competition.

The jury of the competitioncomprises the outstanding artists from Russia and abroad.

The juryreserves the right:

-to withhold awards;

-share the awards among participants;

-award special prizes;

-interrupt the performance if the stated time of audition is exceeded.

The jury decisions are final and the revision is not possible.

The winners of the competition are awarded the diplomas of laureates, money prizes. Theparticipants of the 2nd round get certificates of participation. Grand-prize of the competition can be awarded. Prizes are taxed on the territory of Russia.

Financial terms

The Competitionis financed by federal and regional budgets.

Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the competitors or their promoting institutions.

The Entrance Fee (3.000 rubles for Russian participants and 100 Euros for foreign participants in ruble equivalent) is paid in the moment of the registration after coming to Saratov.

Additional terms

The documents and video-materials sent to the Organizing Committee are not returned.

All works are performed by heart. The changes in the program are not allowed

The Organizing Committee can decline the application before the beginning of competition if it is not corresponded to the Provisions.

The Organizing Committee assists in booking rooms in advance for participants and for those who accompanied them.

The rights for broadcasting and audio/video recording and distributing of the competition belong to Organizing Committee.

-Brief CV detailing the applicant’s musical activity: education, teachers, awards at the competitions and festivals, concerts and recording sessions.
