PROVISIONS FOR INTERIOR FINISHING

PART 1GENERAL

1.1SECTION INCLUDES

  1. Provide all labor, materials, necessary equipment and services to complete the Provisions for Interior Finishing work, as indicated on the drawings, as specified herein or both, except as for items specifically indicated as “NIC ITEMS”.

PART 2PRODUCTS

2.1GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. In general, the interior finish work includes a specific number of completely connected telephones, receptacles, light switches, television, intercom and data outlets as shown on the drawings.
  2. The electrical interior finish work: understood to start after all other electrical work in the area concerned is completed and is to be performed in coordination and cooperation with other trades performing their interior finish work during the same time period.
  3. Apply the total amount of individual interior finish items over the building as a whole, without restriction, at the discretion of the Project Consultant and under provisions of the requirements of the Owner.

PART 3EXECUTION

3.1INSTALLATION DESIGN CRITERIA

  1. Arrange the specified number of receptacle outlets to be distributed over the branch circuits available such that no circuit will serve more than six (6) outlets.
  2. No restriction placed on a minimum number of outlets, which may be assigned to an available branch circuit.
  3. The maximum load for a 20-ampere, 120-volt branch circuit: 1800 watts. Receptacles: as specified under Section 16140 – Wiring Devices.
  1. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
  2. Installation of wall receptacle outlets: include conduit in the wall, outlet box, and receptacle and completely connecting up wiring to the next fitting and back to the junction box located in the hung ceiling under provisions of the interior finish layout.
  3. Installation of a wall telephone outlet: the same without the requirements of wiring.
  4. Outlets: complete with device plates, receptacles, support and conduit fittings.
  5. Wiring for the methods specified above: under provisions of Section 16120 – Wire and Cables.
  6. Provide additional junction boxes as required to combine phase conductors and splice neutral conductors as required by the interior drawings without additional cost.
  7. Installation of a wall local switch: include the wall mounted device plate, outlet box, single pole switch, conduit, etc., to control a group of lighting fixtures under provisions of the interior finish drawings. Work includes the necessary switch and hot leg extensions and connections to accomplish the control desired.
