Order of Procedure

1. The Brethren/Companions assemble in the Lodge/Chapter Room.

2. Opening Hymn

Hail Eternal, by whose aid, All created things were made,

Heaven and earth Thy vast design, Hear us, Architect Divine

May our work begun in Thee Ever blest with order be;

And may we when labours cease, Part in harmony and peace.

By Thy Glorious Majesty, By the trust we place in Thee,

By the badge and mystic sign, Hear us, Architect Divine.

So Mote It Be.

3. The Lodge is opened in the 1st Degree, or the Chapter is opened

4. The Lodge Secretary/Chapter Scribe E reads a Dispensation [if appropriate].

5. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent is admitted accompanied by the Provincial Delegation.

6. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent will introduce the Provincial Delegation.

7. The Provincial Grand Chaplain recites an Opening Prayer.

8. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent addresses the Brethren/Companions on the purpose of the meeting.

9. The Provincial Grand Secretary/Scribe E addresses the Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent.

10. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent gives direction.

11. The Provincial Grand Secretary/Scribe E reads the Certificate of Amalgamation.

12. The Provincial Grand Chaplain delivers an Oration.

13. A number of the Brethren/Companion of the Amalgamated Lodge/Chapter are arranged around the Mosaic Pavement.

14. The Provincial Grand Chaplain reads Leviticus, Chapter 2, verse 13.

15. The Brethren/Companions sing:

Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us

O’er the worlds tempestuous sea;

Guard us, guide us, keep us, feed us,

For we have no help but Thee,

Yet possessing every blessing

If our God our Father be.

16. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent sprinkles salt, the symbol of hospitality and friendship.

17. The Provincial Grand Chaplain takes the censer around the Lodge/Chapter reciting Exodus 30 Verses 7 and 8.

18. The Provincial Grand Chaplain recites the Amalgamation Prayer.

19. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent affirms the amalgamation of the Lodges/Chapters.

20. The Brethren/Companions sing

Let us have Harmony

So say we all

Peace Love and Harmony

So say we all

Then join us in Harmony

Join us in Harmony

Join us in Harmony.

So say we all

21. The Brethren/Companions of the Amalgamated Lodge/Chapter resume their seats.

22. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent delivers the Warrants/Charters, Certificate of Amalgamation, Banner[s] and By Laws to the Worshipful Master/First Principal.

23. The Provincial Grand Chaplain delivers the Patriarchal Benediction.

24. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent addresses the Brethren/Companions of the …………… Lodge No……... /Chapter No.……….

25. Collection for Good Works.

26. The Deputy Provincial Grand Master/Deputy Grand Superintendent accompanied by the Provincial Delegation retires.

27. The Lodge is closed by the Worshipful Master/First Principal.

28. Closing Hymn:
