Providing information about foreign diplomas
To receive information about the possibility to recognize your foreign diploma, you should apply for it in the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) according to the instruction below:
- Complete and sign an application formfor providing information about a foreign diploma, which you can find on:
The application form should be completed in Polishor English (English translation of the application form you can find below). The names of your diplomas and degrees should be written in the original language as soon as they are in Latin script. In case they are not in Latin, they should be translated into Polish or English.
Signing the application you agree on:
- personal data processing to receive information about the possibility to recognise documents;
- verification of the authenticity of documents, if necessary.
- Prepare a suitable set of documents:
- certified copy of the diploma/ other document with transcripts;
- photocopy of the diploma/other document;
- photocopy of translation of the above mentioned documents in case they were issued in a different language than: English, German, Spanish, Russia, Ukrainian;
- photocopy of your ID;
- photocopy of a document certifying the change of your family name (if the document has a different family name than that currently used).
ATTENTION
A ”certified copy” of a document means the copy certified by a Polish notary or a consul of the Republic of Poland residing in the country where the document was originally issued.
Translations of documents should be made by a Polish sworn translator.

The information will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the application and set of required documents and sent to your correspondence address in Poland. The information is in Polish.
