Providence Baptist Church Education Grant Application

The Providence Baptist Church Education Grant (PBCEG) was approved during the 2006 Annual Church Conference.

Purpose: To establish an education fund to assist persons of the church fellowship and the community.

Eligibility: In order to apply for this grant, you

v  Must have been accepted or currently be enrolled in an educational, vocational, or training program.

v  Must demonstrate consistent attendance and progress in schooling or career training.

v  Must be a resident of Maryland.

How to Apply: Please mail the following application materials to:

v  A complete and signed application (The application is available for download as a word document or pdf).

v  Proof of graduation/completion of high school or a General Education Development Certificate (GED)

v  A copy of your acceptance or enrollment letter

v  A 200 word essay on educational/career goals.

Due Date: Mail application packet by the 3rd Sunday in June

Renewal: A recipient of the PBCEG may reapply for future grants. Consideration for a renewal will be based on availability of funds and documentation from the institution that verifies satisfactory progress and enrollment.

·  A copy of the acceptance letter received from the college/university, technical

or career school you will be attending.

Or

·  Verification of current enrollment and continuous attendance in an

education/career program. Verification examples include: Tuition Statement,

Student Schedule, Transcript, Grade report, etc.

And

:

·  A 200 word essay describing your educational or career aspirations and goals

and how the PBCEG will help you achieve them. Your essay must be typed, dated and signed.
