Proposed Year 7 Trip to Condover HallMonday 16th– Thursday19thJuly 2018
Following our very successful residential trip to Condover Hall in July last year, it is our intention to repeat the experience for the current Year 7. A four day booking has been reserved for the week beginning Monday 16th July 2018.
Throughout their staypupils will take part in a range of activities with qualified staff, provided by the centre. The activities range from individual physical challenges to team problem solving challenges. Ultimately, pupils leave with positive, and sometimes unexpected, views of themselves and others in their year group. Transport to and from the centre will be by coach, the costs of which are included in the price of the trip.
The cost will be £300 and includes transport, 3 nights’ accommodation, food and all the activities. An initial non–refundable deposit of £50 will be required by Tuesday 31st October in order to secure a place on this trip. Final payment will be required by Friday 27th April. This payment can be spread out and paid anytime via Parentmail online. If your child is in receipt of Pupil Premium Funding, the cost of this trip will be met by the school. The cost of any clothing and any spending money will need to be met by you.
You are invited to a meeting on Tuesday 17th October at 6.00 pm, where there will be a short presentation outlining the trip, facilities and activities. This will also be a chance to ask any questions.
Please complete the slip below and return it to your child’s Form Teacher by Monday 16th October if your child is interested in taking part in this trip.Deposits will then need to be paid by 31stOctober as outlined above. Your child’s participation in this trip will be dependent upon his/her exemplary behaviour. Should his/her behaviour become a cause for concern, he/she will be at risk of coming off the trip. If this is the case, the decision will be communicated to you in writing and following a face to face meeting with you. We regret that, in such instances, monies paid will not be returned given the school will still have to meet the full costs of the original booking. Obviously, we hope we are not in a position where we have to invoke this clause.
