Proposal for Creative Arts Workshop for Secondary School Students

I.General concept

The workshop is mainly about animation. It includes the history of animation, the basic concepts, and different medium of animation and computer animation. The idea of this workshop is let student to get fun in animation art and explore multi- medium of an interesting way to express their creativity idea through the sequence of image.

II.Aims

Increase sensitivity of observation in live.

Get an active attitude in the medium of still image.

To explore the relationship between images and time space.

  1. Art medium

Integrate of animation and computer graphic. We mostly will use Flash and Photoshop.

  1. Target Clients

Basically Junior Secondary School students (Form1-3). We assume the workshop have 15- 20 students.

V.Content

Interactive ways to get idea of an animation, such as games; group project of experimental of animation.

 Through screening of animation clips, exploring different skills to make animation.

Student should design their only way to produce a creative animation.

VII.Time line

It is suggested to design a 7-session workshop. The workshop will start on 16th February. And each lesson will hold 1.5 hrs. The first 30 minutes is a lecture part, and one hour is a tutorial part, it includes some individual works.
