Garstang RUFC was formed in 1995 by a small group of Rugby enthusiasts.

Since then the club has grown from a small parks team to a fully fledged rugby club which operates two senior mens teams on every weekend, a men’s veterans side, a ladies side and a thriving mini’s section which currently caters for local children from 6 to 11 years of age and from September 2013 will cater for children up to 13 years of age.

In 2012 the club secured a Sport England grant which has enabled them to complete the purchase of the clubs First Team pitch, which until now had been leased from a local landowner.

Whilst we will shortly own both our own pitch’s the club itself does not own its own clubhouse, utilising the towns Sports and Social Club for changing and social facilities; a clubhouse it shares with the towns cricket, tennis and football clubs. This limits our ability to raise funds for the running and continuing development of the club.
