The Concept

“There is a need to convert what is viewed in some ways as a language problem, intolanguage potential”

Marsh, D.CLIL/EMILE - THE EUROPEAN DIMENSION 2002

An individual has a right but seldom tools to express oneself adequately and make a statement about one’s presence in this world. Languages have always been seen as one of the most powerful way in establishing human contacts, solving human problems, advancing careers, resulting in personal fulfillment.

Some of these goals can be successfully achieved by individual attempts , some are institutionally supported. The need to be able to use as many languages as there are spoken around is seen as a political and economic definition of the modern situation.

Mykolas Romeris University addresses the needs of language education by providing programmes in professional language teaching for the future graduates in law, public administration, economy, social work, psychology etc. The University enhances the spectrum of educational opportunities in the experimental teaching environment within the framework of EU SPD 2.4 measure project ("Creating Lifelong learning Conditions") "Innovative measures and methods in teaching foreign languages at Mykolas Romeris University".
