Concept Design Report
Background
This is one of the most unique, one of a kind house in this world. This modern house include pool, big garden (on the 2nd floor), kitchen, living room, bedroom, working room, and 2 bathrooms. This is designed using designing program, SketchUp.
Design Concept
This is a modern house only for you, Mr. Berezniak. Basically, this house is built for your resting time and entertainment. In this house, you can enjoy your life surrounded by beautiful nature. Additional to the bright sunshine from nature, for the cozy feeling that you can feel in the house, the wooden material was chosen for the interior. You can enjoy warm and relaxed feeling in this modern, nature-balanced house.
Components of the Project
§ At least 5 rooms (e.g., family room, kitchen, bathroom(s), bedroom(s), dining room, etc.)1 or a large great room which combines the specific functions of several of the more traditional room spaces. Include in the house at least six windows and two exterior doors2.
§ Furniture, such as beds, sinks, dressers, couches, tables, chairs, TVs, etc. The more you include the better3.
§ All components of my house, including walls4, roof5, doors, windows, etc. must be coordinated by style, texture and color.
§ A lawn and scaled shrubs that completely surrounds the house.
§ At least three different type trees/shrubs in the yard.
§ An exterior patio, pool, Jacuzzi, play area, etc.
§ A sidewalk & driveway
§ A really cool something unusual or unique, but appropriate, in the design.

This house is composed of two buildings, main building and living building. Basically, main building is more for your day-time life (eating, watching TV, cooking, etc.) and another building (I will call this R building) is for other times such as sleeping or working. I will talk more details about this in ‘Interior View’ (below).
There is a large pool outside on the ground floor as you see in the picture on the ground level. And almost all the wall of the main building is glasses (windows) so you don’t need to worry about your children playing out since you can see them while you watch TV, wash dishes, or just have a meal in the dining room. This large windows also will provide you the chance to enjoy warm sunshine from outside. Not only for that, this makes you to go out to the pool and come in back to the house more easily since some of these windows can be opened completely. Additionally, there is a large tree that can provide you big shade and fresh air. You would enjoy seeing the changing colors of the leaves and feel 4 seasons perfectly. You don’t need to go out, just be in your house! Then everything will be there for you to enjoy changing four seasons. Lastly, the roof connecting main building and R building will provide big shade over the pool so you and your family can enjoy the time in the pool without worrying get sunburn from the hot UV rays.
On the outside of second floor, there is personal garden for you. You can grow flowers, trees, or just play with your children or puppies in the greens. Or just enjoy barbecue! The importance of this garden is that you don’t need to go first floor from the second floor room which is your working room. So whenever you get stressed from your work you can just open the door, go out, enjoy the fresh air or enjoy a short resting time.

As I mentioned earlier, wood is chosen for interior material to give you the warm and cozy feeling. So all the walls and floor is made of wooden material. The main building is composed of long connected living area including kitchen and dining place, the room that you can watch TV or just read a book, and one bathroom. This connected area allows you to use the space more efficiently and makes the space look bigger too.
The living area from the main building is connected to the first floor of R building. Once you get to the first floor of R building you can see the bedroom and bathroom. Wooden material is used as well for uniformness and warm, cozy feeling. Once you get to the second floor of R building, there is a working place and another bathroom. This room also has large windows so that it can give you the feeling that the space is larger and see the outside conveniently. You can enjoy the warm sun shine daytime and a nice glow in the sky every evening.
