Programming your Genie Intellicode Wireless Keypad, WHITE COVER

  1. Resetting your keypad to factory setting:

If, at any time, during programming, you should enter the wrong PIN or make a mistake, you should reset the keypad to its factory setting.

  • Press & hold the following buttons in this order: PROG, 6, ↑↓
  • Red LED will blink once & turn off
  • Release buttons

2a. Basic Programming:

  • Press 3-5-7
  • Press PROG. Indicator will blink once per second
  • Enter PIN 1 (3 to 8 digits)
  • Press PROG Indicator will blink twice per second then turn off.

Your keypad is now ready to be programmed to the garage door opener

2b. Basic opener Programming

Locate the Learn code button on your Intellicode/Codedodger garage door opener.

Depending on model, the learn code button will be located under the light cover or on the rear panel. Note: DO NOT hold down the learn code button! This will erase all controls currently programmed. Press and let go immediately.

  • Press the learn code button – Do NOT hold down. Learn code LED on your opener will flash.
  • On your keypad: enter PIN number, then press ↑↓ button on keypad. [Learn code LED on opener will stay on].
  • Press ↑↓ button again. Learn code LED on opener will turn off.

Wait for keypad backlight to turn off. You will now

be able to use your wireless keypad normally.

3. Controlling a single door with your keypad.

  • Enter Pin
  • Press ↑↓ to operate door

4. Programming multiple doors with your keypad

A. Program your keypad according to the steps outlined in the Basic programming section listed above.

  • Enter your PIN and press PROG-Red LED blinks once per second.
  • Press PROG again – Red LED blinks twice per second.
  • Press the number of Doors (total) you wish to control (#2 button or #3 button).
  • Press program – Red LED blinks several times and turns off.
  1. Decide which Door will be Door #1,#2,and #3
  • Relocate & press the Learn Code button – Learn Code LED (on opener) blinks.
  • Enter your PIN and press ↑↓ on keypad – Learn Code LED stays on
  • Press the number (1, 2, or 3 button) – Learn Code indicator LED stays on.
  • Press ↑↓ - Learn Code LED turns off.
  1. Repeat step B above for each door opener. Each door opener must be programmed to receive the signal from the Wireless Keypad.
  • Press send button 4 times, or until door operates
  • Repeat these steps for door 2 and 3
5. Controlling multiple doors
  • Enter PIN number
  • Press ↑↓
  • Enter door number (1,2, or 3)
6. Adding temporary PIN
  • Enter PIN number
  • Press PROG 3 times
  • Enter temporary PIN
  • Press PROG

At this time, it is not necessary to reprogram keypad

to operators. The temporary PIN will be active until

original PIN is re-entered.

7. Canceling the temporary PIN
  • To cancel the temporary PIN, simply re-enter the original PIN number.
8. Changing a PIN
  • Press & hold in this order: PROG, 6, ↑↓. LED will blink one time and go off.
  • Release buttons. Repeat steps 2a – 2b.
