Our housing estate would like to sign up to join the Programme on Source Separation of Domestic Waste.
# Our housing estate will facilitate the waste separation by:
□ providing waste separation facilities on each floor
□ expanding the types of recyclables collected by the 3 coloured waste separation bins
□ expanding the types of recyclables collected by the 3 coloured waste separation bins and considering to provide waste separation facilities on each floor

Note 1: At the end of each phase of the Competition, the estate/building will automatically become the participating housing estate of the next phase of the Competition.
Note 2: The estate/building will encourage residents to practice source separation of waste through education and promotion.
Note 3: The estate/building will liaise directly with the cleansing contractors or recyclers for collecting recyclables for recycling. The housing estate will request the waste recycler(s) to return receipts recording separately the quantities of waste paper, metals, plastics, used clothing, computers, electrical and electronic appliances etc. collected after each collection exercise. Based on the above receipts, the housing estate will submit the recovery data of the previous month by completing the "Monthly Record Sheet on Quantities of Recyclables and Waste collected" to the Domestic Waste Reduction Section, Waste Reduction & EcoPark Group, Environmental Infrastructure Division of the Environmental Protection Department (Fax no.: 2872-0389) within the first week of each month for recording purpose. The receipts will be kept by the estate for future reference.
