In collaboration with the Developmental and Regenerative Biology graduate program of HARVARD University

Intensive laboratory and lecture course for M2 and PhD students: 5 week-long including 3 weeks of practicals and 2 weeks of lectures (limited to 18 students)

Topics of lectures: Worm model in developmental biology, Evolution and Development, Early vertebrate development, , Drosophila as a genetic model, Signalling pathways during development, Plant development, Mesoderm derivatives, Stem cells during development, Development of the nervous system, Development of marine organisms

Practicals: genetic model system (C. elegans, Drosophila, zebrafish, mouse) and well-established experimental attributes (frog, chick).

Ablation of the shield. Analysis of Cyp26a1 as a target of the Iroquois gene. Injection of Cyp26a1-GFP and analysis of operated embryos.

Manipulating embryonic axes, Spemann experiment, mesoderm induction in vitro, Nieuwkoop recombination, gastrulation in vitro.
