Program Support Coordinator – Special Projects

Project Tomorrow ( is a national education nonprofit organization based in IrvineCA. We are currently seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Program Support Coordinator for Special Projects.

The vision of Project Tomorrow is to ensure that today’s students are well prepared to be tomorrow’s innovators, leaders and engaged citizens of the world. We approach our mission through national research projects, programs that support students’ interests in the teaching and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields, online tools and resources for students, teachers and parents, and national and regional advocacy efforts.

Project Tomorrow is currently managing several different kinds of special projects within both the K-12 and higher education environments. The Program Support Coordinator is responsible for the administrative management of a varied set of school-based projects. Those projects currently include evaluation projects that examine the impact of digital tools and resources on student learning, and our two primary Innovation in Education projects, the annual Youth Leadership Summit and Innovation Awards. The Program Support Coordinator works closely with the Project Tomorrow program management staff, research team, our clients and other partners in the implementation process of these projects.

The general responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing and implementing the administrative management of the projects including document management, project timelines and communications processes
  • Coordinating resources to support the projects
  • Collecting timely information from the projects and managing the data collection efforts mandated by the research plans
  • Managing relationships with clients and project participants
  • Creating status reports and other client deliverables on the projects
  • Supporting any project meetings or site visits
  • Event planning, coordination, and management of the Innovation in Education events , including recruiting nominations and speakers, managing volunteers, overseeing food/venue logistics, and communicating with participants and partners
  • Maintaining the project content on our website

Salary commensurate with experience and skills within range of $30,000 to $37,000 annually

We are seeking to interview strong candidates for this position with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelors’ Degree with 1 to 3 years of experience with administrative, customer service or program coordination responsibilities
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a high production atmosphere
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong technology skills including fluency with Microsoft Office applications and social networking tools
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to get along with a variety of colleagues, both in the Irvine office and virtually
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Mature decision-making capabilities
