Membership Ryan Nicholls

·  Current status of 2016 membership with dues paid, dues owed. No changes since the general meeting in May. (61 members, 60 are paid)

·  ON-GOING: Identify process to follow up with guests and encourage membership.

Communication Jim Sharp

·  Update on Communications issues, LinkedIn site, website, etc.

·  Added the annual symposium information to the website. Took off the Fall symposium link.

·  Continue to get Intelligence summaries from the Secret Service. Jim forwards to members upon request. Whitney mentioned that you can also get on a distribution list at the Secret Service to receive these updates.

·  Steve received an email regarding adding general preparedness information to the website. We already have numerous links to state and local resources and to general preparedness. Keep to business preparedness and continuity (not personal).

Action Item(s): Jim to reconcile the group's request to our resources to see if we should add new resource links to our site.

Treasurer Marc Stephenson

·  Update on budget – April and May budgets provided

·  Balance: Approximately $9,400 in checking/savings

·  4 payments for symposium – 3 Gold and 1 Silver

Annual Symposium Whitney Aguilar

Sub-committee update:

·  Next Sub-Committee Meeting: Week of May 30th. Once we have vendor information, group will update website and send out the agenda and learning lab information to the vendors.

·  Edward Jones will be the host site (date: June 23, 2016)

·  Vendor update. We should have a total of 6 vendors – 4 Gold and 2 Silver. DRJ will provide 2 free conference registrations to the Fall World DRJ Conference in Phoenix, AZ.

·  MCPF Prizes: Budget for the symposium is $1,500. Suggestions include an Amazon Echo and Go Pro. For grand prizes, attendees have to turn in vendor punch cards and do not need to be present to win the prize. For attendance prizes, attendees do not have to be present to win.

·  As soon as we have the full agenda, Shawnee suggested that we ask other industry groups to post the agenda on their website.

Miscellaneous Steve Seton

·  Big Thanks to Whitney for facilitating this board meeting!!

·  Outside requests to participate in other preparedness type conferences. Recent requests include Interface and AccuWeather. We should forward to membership as they come in, if they may provide value. We could also add these conferences to our calendar of events and/or send announcements. If Steve is uncertain of the posting of an industry conference, he should forward the request to the board for approval for posting.

·  Steve, Whitney and Shawnee will meet with BCI next week to discuss MCPF membership and value to its members.

·  We need to move the Board meeting scheduled on June 23rd.
General discussion of the 2016 year ahead:

o  We currently have no backup for the Treasurer. Shawnee will review the by-laws and volunteered to serve in the back-up role.
