Short Description
of the Organization / Department / NuRES is a nucleus of activities scientific – technological integrated for professors and students of Department of Social Anthropology of FACSO – UNICEN, Rca. Argentina. Its main objectives are the interdisciplinary approach of the local/regional problems of the Región Pampeana, specially the study of the social, cultural, political and economic processes that characterize the region, and the transfer of knowledge to the social environment. The application of the same area is the regional and local development in relation to environmental policies, health problems, historical and cultural heritage, health and gender relatioships, social policies, cultural and rural tourism, juridical anthropology. The multidisciplinary group is constituted from the clustering of research projects were developed in the frame of Social Anthropology's career, since 1990. It is recognized as a research group in 1994 by the Superior Council of the University and recently the group has developed the first cycle of Master in Anthropology Social, post-graduation studies mainly support with own professors.
Previous Related Projects / Research Experience / The specific project developed during more two decades are diverses. The main projects are integrated mainly in four lines:
a)Socio-cultural studies – cultural and rural tourism, directed for Dra. Alicia Villafañe
b) historical and cultural heritage, directed for Dr. Carlos Alberto Paz
c) health issues - political and socio-environmental studies –, directed for Dr. Héctor Marcelo Sarlingo
d) gender studies - social policy and legal anthropology – directed for Dr. Horacio Roberto Sabarots
Short Description of the Project idea
(if foreseeable) / The NuRES is in process broaden their experience of international cooperation and to consolidate the teaching of graduate level, specifically their courses of anthropological theory in the framework of the master's degree in Social Anthropology. It would be desirable to integrate teachers, professors and researchers at the doctoral level in the field of history of anthropological theory for the development of basic courses of sociocultural theory, epistemology and theory of knowledge. The coordination of activities of research - action is also an activity of special interest.
