Research Interests

Fundamental aspects of gas, liquid, supercritical fluid and thin-layer chromatography. The application of these techniques to problems of environmental, food chemistry and biomedical importance. Quantitative structure-retention relationships to understand chromatographic retention processes. Applications of the solvation parameter model to chromatographic and environmental systems. Experimental methods to estimate descriptors for organic compounds to facilitate modeling of environmental and biopartitioning processes. Methods for data analysis and sample preparation for chromatographic analysis. Microchemical reactions to enhance selectivity and/or sample detectability in chromatography.
