Important Safety Instructions

When using the recharge base/power cord/transformer, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury to persons, including the following:

·  The recharge base and power/transformer unit are not waterproof. DO NOT expose to rain or moisture.

·  Do not use the recharge base and power unit near water, for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, in a wet area or near a swimming pool.

·  Use only the power cord supplied with this product to recharge the Groovelight. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. They may explode. Check with your local council for possible special disposal instructions.

·  This product is not intended for use by children without supervision.

·  There is no serviceable part.

·  Risk of fire explosion or burns

·  Not designed or warranted for industrial or commercial use.

·  Do not incinerate or charge in a sealed container.

·  The sealed LED globes and battery must be recycled or disposed of properly.

Getting started

Unpack the Groovelight, transformer, charge base and remote control from the carton.

1.  Put the Groovelight ball on the base. Plug in the power transformer to a regular indoor (240V AC) power outlet and turn on.

2.  Charge the Groovelight for 5 – 6 hrs until the red light indicator on the charge base turns green. This means the light is fully charged and can be removed from the base. Use the remote control to turn the light on and start the colour change.

3.  Once fully charged the Groovelight will light for 9 – 10 hours. When the light no longer changes colour smoothly or has no light this indicates a low power and the lights need to be recharged. NOTE: THE BATTERIES SHOULD BE FULLY DISCHARGED BEFORE RECHARGING ON THE FIRST THREE RECHARGE OCCASSIONS

4.  When the charge base is connected to the power, the indicator light on the base is green. When you put the discharged Groovelight on the charge base, the light turns red until the Groovelight is fully charged at which time the indicator light turns green.

5.  Remote controller-

a.  On/Off switch: press once to turn on and then again to turn off

b.  Play/Pause switch: when pressed once will pause the light changing colour and then press again to start the colour change

c.  Bright –: makes the colour less intense

d.  Bright +: makes the colour more intense

e.  Slow: makes colour change slowly

f.  Quick: makes colour change quickly

g.  Colour: press to stop the colour from changing and keep pressing to select your colour of choice

h.  Reset: press to return to the 7 colour change mode

Using your Groovelights.

1.  When you have charged up your lights inside the house they can be placed anywhere around your house or garden to provide mood lighting.

2.  They provide unique colour changing lighting that sets a wonderful mood for any occasion. The rechargeable Groovelights are waterproof and can be used indoors and outdoors. After charging on a base for 5-6hrs the lights can be placed anywhere around the house or garden to provide ambience. The lights can be set to rotate through a rainbow of colours or set on one particular colour of your choice or clean, classy white. Beautiful lighting you can take anywhere! Charge it up and then move it to wherever you want to groove it!

3.  If you are using your lights outdoors we recommend you bring them indoors to be recharged and stored. Lights should not be left outside in direct sunlight.

Warranty

The warranty applies to the original purchaser, for a period of 12 months, from the date of purchase, and covers manufacturing faults and defects. If an item should fail as a result of a manufacturing fault or defect under normal domestic use, the manufacturer at their discretion will repair or replace the failed item. The original warranty period is not extended in the event of a repair or replacement.

In the event of a failure it is the customer’s responsibility to return the item to the retailer of purchase along with a copy of the tax invoice.

The warranty specifically excludes general wear and tear, fading, staining, corrosion, industrial and commercial and/or inappropriate use and damage caused as a result of failure to observe reasonable care, maintenance and assembly instructions. Natural hazards, like wind, rain and storm damage are also excluded from warranty.

We recommend that all lights are not left outside but be brought inside for recharging and storage. This warranty does not cover discolouration, water damage and normal wear and tear.

Connection must be to the voltage requirements as specified in the rating label located on the products. The manufacturer or retailer does not accept liability for any direct or consequential damage, loss or other expense arising from misuse or incorrect installation and operation of the appliance.
