PROCEEDINGS OF THE HAMILTON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
REGULAR MEETING
The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors met in regular on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. in the Boardroom of the Hamilton County Courthouse, Webster City, Iowa.
CALL TO ORDER: Called to order by Chair Doug Bailey.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Board led the Pledge of Allegiance.
MEMBERS PRESENT: David Young, Wesley Sweedler, and Doug Bailey.
OTHERS PRESENT: Dan Waid, Patti Treibel, Pat Powers, Kirby Winter, Bob Mason, and Kim Schaa.
AGENDA: Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
MINUTES: Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to approve the minutes of the October 8, 2013 meeting. Motion carried.
CLAIMS: General Basic Fund $99,817.60; General Basic (Public Health) Fund $30,597.93; General Basic Conservation) Fund $28,922.98; General Supplemental Fund $18,487.20; General Supplemental Public Health Sub Fund $1,967.55; General Supplemental Conservation Sub Fund $1,362.61; MH-DD Services Fund $33,523.34; Rural Basic Fund $13,770.90; Secondary Roads Fund $363,943.61; REAP Fund $100.00; Capital Projects Fund $27,337.08; Van Diest TIF Project Fund $250.00; Conservation Capital Projects Expense Trust Fund $843.61. Total $620,934.41. Drainage Fund $175,714.74. Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to approve payment of claims. Motion carried.
REPORTS: CLERK OF COURT: Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to approve the Clerk of Court’s report for the month of September 2013. Motion carried.
POLICY: COMPUTER POLICY UPDATE: Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to approve the updates to the Computer Policy. Motion carried.
CONTRACTS/ AGREEMENTS: SERVICES AGREEMENT: Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to approve a services agreement with Van Diest Medical Center for medical services to Hamilton County Employees. Motion carried.
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH HAMILTON COUNTY JAIL: Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to approve a services agreement with Van Diest Medical Center for medical services for the Hamilton County Jail and inmates. Motion carried.
CERTIFICATION OF CONTRACT: Motion by Young, seconded by Sweedler to authorize the chair to sign a Certification of Contract between Van Diest Medical Center and Hamilton County. Motion carried.
COMMUNITY & FAMILY RESOURCES AGREEMENT: The board requested more information on the Substance Abuse Agreement with CFR.
COUNTY CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES 28E AGREEMENT: Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to withdraw from the CCMS 28E Agreement effective July 1, 2014. Motion carried.
DRAINAGE: DRAINAGE DISTRICT #193 HIGHWAY: Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to approve the Agreement with Jensen Excavating on a drainage project in DD #193 Highway. Motion carried.
ADJOURN: Motion by Sweedler, seconded by Young to adjourn. Motion carried, meeting adjourned at 9:40 a.m.
