I’d like to welcome everyone back to school.

This class is designed to prepare you in pass one of the following ACT, Accuplacer, ASVAB, PSAT or SAT

The procedures in this class are designed for all students to succeed. Following the procedures will maximize your potential and result in satisfactory academic and behavioral performance.

§  Upon entering the classroom, you will be greeted with a smile by the teacher and assisted into the class. (No student will socialize outside the door for any reason)

§  You must come to class prepared with the following items everyday:

1. Notebook/Folder

2. Homework

3. Pen/pencil

5. Calculator- if you own your own, which I HIGHLY recommend.

·  Absentee Policy

1. When you are absent you are expected to borrow someone’s notebook, review the material discussed in class, and make-up all assignments. (If you do not understand the material you must make arrangements to see me after school for extra help). The make-up assignment(s) must be handed in within 2 days after returning to school. This includes the homework. It is your responsibility to hand in homework assignments that were due the day(s) you were absent.

2. If you are absent the day of a test and were present in class when the test was announced, you are expected to take the test the day you return.

3. If you don’t make-up your work within the 2 days, points will be deducted from your grade for every day you are late.

·  Grading Procedure:

1.  Test / Quizzes – 70%

2.  Class Participation – 25%

3. Homework – 5%

§  If you need to use the restroom, ask during the first 15 minutes of the class. Each student is allowed to use the restroom once per week and must have their I.D. in their possession and your pass card.

§  Use the water fountain before class.

§  No heads down or sleeping during class.

§  You MUST be passing my class to go on other class’s field trips.

§  Abide by the rules described in your student handbook.
