Problems programming Via JTAG

Hi,

We designed 215 boards using TI's MCU TM4C1294NCPDT and we're now having major problems programming our application via JTAG.

We would appreciate if you can help us solve our problem. I'll try and explain as much as possible of our setup and electrical design in order for you to help us in the most efficient way.

Important notices:

·  We were able to program a different Evaluation kit EK-TM4C1294XL via JTAG

·  We were able to program a different board designed by us (with the same MCU and the same JTAG peripheral electrical design)

·  Our MCU's is new from the factory. Even though, we unlocked them with the LM Flash Programmer just in case.

Basic Information:

MCU: TM4C1294NCPDT

JTAG Debugger: Evaluation kit EK-TM4C1294XL

Programmer: LM Flash Programmer (Build 1613)

Result:

Setup Description:

·  We are using the evaluation kit in order to program the MCU. These are the following steps we took in order to do so: Disconnected R6, R7, R8, R10, R11, R15, R16 (we left R40 – External Debug)

·  We connected all 10 pins of JTAG by the right order according to reference in datasheet below:

·  All unused signal are configured as noted in "preffered practice" below:

Signals check:

·  VDD & VDDA supply rails are 3.3V

·  VDDC rail is 1.2V

·  JATG VTARGET is 3.3V

·  We are using a 25MHZ external crystal

JTAG Signals:

These are the JTAG signals we sample during the attempt to program via JTAG

Yellow: TCK

Blue: TDI

Green: TDO

·  It seems that there is a certain communication by TDI & TDO signals. For some reason the communication afterwards fails.

·  When we did Unlock through the LM Flash Programmer – The clock stop working and when we disconnected the power and reconnected it the clock again worked.

We would deeply appreciate any sort of help in order to fix this problem. We are planning to manufacture hundreds more of boards with TI's MCU's therefore your help is critical.
