Expectations of TPDL participants

Participants will:
  • teach at least one class a full year course in a language*
  • be released from class for 90 minute discussions after fourlesson observations(one per term)
  • attend all 8 days of the EDPROFST 360 course(4 days are in Fri/Sats in Term 2, 2 days are in July holidays, 2 days are Fri/Sat in Term 3)
  • study a language (unless exempted by Project Director*)
  • work towards sitting an international language examination (unless exempted by Project Director)
  • attend between 2 and 4 after-school meetings (varies according to regional / online arrangements)

Expectations of schools

  • Teachers will be released for 90 minutes after each of four lesson observations
  • Schools cover release cost for one day (Only 3 of the 8 days are during school time. Schools receive 2 TRDs.)
  • Schools pay course fees initially and are reimbursed in Term 4 on teachers’ completion of TPDL
