While the Prince of Egypt is an excellent family movie when compared to other movies of our day, it does provide an excellent venue for study of the first 14 chapters of Exodus.

However, at the same time, in the beginning of the film, the producers do inform the viewer that the complete story of Moses is found in the book of Exodus, and, well, quite frankly, any movie that encourages people to read their Bible wins some points in my book.

The next page contains a table comparing the actions in the film to those found in Exodus. Reference verses are also contained. As a study on Exodus, have your teens view the film with their Bibles, pausing often to discuss differences in the two versions. You should find that your students will have a more thorough knowledge of Exodus by the time the film is over.

May God bless you as you study His infallible Word.
