[1]1Algoma has an “adjustment clause” in the agreement which provides that in February of each year, if the wage rate for Algoma is less than the average rate for Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, City of Greater Sudbury, the District of Cochrane and Manitoulin-Sudbury DSSAB there will be a wage adjustment.

[1] Arbitration award (L. Trachuk, 2010-2013)

[2]2 Arbitration award (S. Raymond, 2006-2008)

[3]3 The rates for 2004-2006 were awarded through the Participating Hospitals and SEIU Interest Arbitration (Kaplan) where the Board mirrored the negotiated rates in District of Timiskaming (also an interest arbitration award - K. Swan, see below), but there is a difference in the implementation dates. The rates for 2006-2009 were negotiated through the SEIU central negotiations. The rates for 2009-2011 were awarded through the Participating Hospitals and SEIU Interest Arbitration (Burkett).

[4]4 Arbitration award (K. Burkett, 2006-2008).

[5]5 Arbitration award of (J. Devlin 2001-2004). The rates for 2004-2007 were the result of negotiations and a 16 day strike.

[6]6 The rates in the contract which expired March 31, 2008 were a combination of a 3% general wage increase each year and the implementation of a CUPE job evaluation and compensation study as the paramedics are part of a broad CUPE bargaining unit.
