FFA news

The KHS FFA Chapter has been hard at work this year. Mr. Brady Bond is our Ag teacher & FFA Advisor. The show team had several shows this fall, at County and Tulsa with everyone placing and making Premium Sale at County, and having 5 students placing at Tulsa State Fair. We then had our Blue & Gold and DJs meat sale. We had 15 students that went and helped with the Sooner State Kennel Club dog show in Enid. All the students that went and helped had a good time.

The Chapter also just completed our Chili/Soup Cook-off and Pie Auction. We had a good turn out with Shauna Gray winning the chili cook-off and Janet Streck winning the soup cook-off. We had about 35 pies all going for $75-$160 each. We have about 15 kids going to MFE/ALD in December. The show team is getting their pigs, cattle, and goats and is taking care of them getting ready for the spring shows. Finally our officer team has been working on the corner across from Midway; hopefully we will have it finished soon!

Several veterans came to see the outstanding reenactment along with the rest of the high school and elementary school.
