We want you! Model railways from all over Europe are invited to be part of the International Model Railway Exhibition2016!

Europe's largest model railway event takes place from 17th - 20thNovember 2016. Over 200 exhibitors as well as tens of thousands of international model railway enthusiasts are raring to travel to Cologne. The motto at this year's colossalmodel railway show and meeting place of the international model railway scene is "Model railways unite Europe"!The exhibition cordially invites the model railway community from all over Europe to present their model railway layouts depicting European scenery at the IMA 2016. Applications can be sent online via the exhibition website.

The EU Charter of Fundamental Rights unites the European value system on a political basis. Culturally, Europe is united by the Eurovision Song Contest with its wonderful array of music and the collective show event. The International Model Railway Exhibition (IMA) has set itself the goal to unite Europe in a very special way in 2016: At Europe's largest model railway event, which takes place from 17-20 November 2016 at its traditional venue in Cologne, model railway layouts from as many European countries as possible should be on show to attract and fascinate an international audience.

At IMA 2016 the beauty and diversity of Europe will be the leitmotif!Justas the common value system connects all EU member states and their inhabitants, so the passion for the fascinating hobby of railway modelling with all its facets and possibilities bonds together the international model railway community. The numerous traditions, cultures and landscapes of Europe will also be reflected in the many imaginatively created miniature worlds presented by private modellers, international clubs and modelling associations. You might be able to admirea wonderful weddingsceneat Abergynolwyn station, the only place where the bride can make her classic trip to the altar on a locomotive. Even the station master needs his handkerchief. Railway enthusiasts could be fascinated by the 11-hour ride on the mountain railway from the Serbian capital of Belgrade, through the Dinaric Mountainsto the Montenegrin port of Bar. 254 tunnels and the highest railway bridge in Europe make this route stunning and a challenge for technically skilled modellers. Perhaps there will also be a model of the shortest railway in the world with its original length of approx. 400 metres - the Vatican State Railway. It will be exciting to see the line-up of the show!

We want you! –Together we can bring the European idea to the IMA.

With the support of the community, the IMA organizers would like to bring together as many European railway layouts as possible to Cologne in November. Everyone is called upon to check his network, to spread it across all channels and to motivate their modelling friends to present their model layoutwith a European theme at the IMA in 2016. Interested clubs, associations or private modellers who would like to be part of this memorable European excursion with their model railway layout have time to apply until the end of June 2016.
